ECU
TRIGGERED INDUCTIVE (TRANSISTOR) IGNITION MODULES
These igniters are designed to
be triggered by an ignition or fuel ECU (computer). The ECU
provides dwell timing information to limit the primary coil
current and produce maximum spark energy. In the event of
incorrect dwell timing the igniter will limit the current to
a maximum of 9A. A thermal overload protection function will
reduce the maximum current limit to prevent excessive and
possibly damaging temperature excursions. As with all our inductive
ignition systems these are manufactured using extended temperature
rated (-40°C to +125°C) components and individually tested
after manufacture for high reliability.
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Operating temperature range -40°C
to +125°C
- Operating voltage +12V to +18V
- Over temperature protection
- Fully potted construction
- Current limit = 9A
- Manual dwell control
- Load dump protection
